Archbishop Monsignor Paul Cremona visits Mriehel summer school students
29 July 2010 19:20
Archbishop Monsignor Paul Cremona this morning visited the children who are attending summer school at Mriehel.
Part of the curriculum of this school is to enable the children to learn how to take care of themselves, those around them, as well as the environment.

On his arrival at the summer school KidSTart at the Junior Lyceum Santa Theresa in Mriehel, the children gave a rousing welcome to the Archbishop with the song “He’s Got the Whole World in his Hands”.

The Archbishop was taken on a tour of the classrooms used during the summer months where he made the acquaintance of children between the ages of two and fifteen years old who attend the summer club.

The children expressed their enjoyment of the sports activities which include swimming in a pool, the art and craft lessons and the exercises at the gym.

The younger children aged two and three years old gave a sweet rendition of “Twinkle, twinkle little star” much to the Archbishop’s delight.

After blessing the children, the Archbishop spoke about the importance of Christ in our lives and reminded the children that Christ was once their age too.

This year is the ninth year for this summer club.
